FAQs - Lashes
New to Poshe' Salon/Eyelash Extensions and not sure what to book?
No worries, you can come in for a free first consultation. If you have allergies or are worried that your eyes will react, please come in for a skin patch test prior to booking an appointment. Here is a video showing our process.
Do I have to do anything to prepare for the service?
Prior to your appointment, try your best to arrive without any eye makeup, do not curl your lashes, or wear mascara the day before and the day of your appointment. It will help minimize the cleanup time and more time for lashing.
Is there hypoallergenic eyelash glue?
Yes. Be advised this adhesive does not tend to hold as long as the regular adhesive.
Will Poshe' retouch or fill my Eyelash Extensions if they are from another salon?
Yes, but due to the inconsistency in the quality of lash extensions and applications from one salon to another, we cannot ensure a satisfaction guarantee. Please prepare for a 75 min service time.
Can I still get Eyelash Extensions if I am pregnant?
There is no harm to your fetus during the application of eyelash extensions. However, if lying on your back for 60 minutes sounds uncomfortable please notify your technician in advance so the proper adjustments can be made.
Does Poshe' offer Mink Eyelash Extensions?
We are a proudly animal cruelty-free salon. We do not offer Mink Lashes.
Does Poshe' offer Hybrid or Volume eyelash extensions?
We mainly offer Classic eyelash extensions which is a single lash extension adhered to one of your natural lashes but we can accommodate your needs if you prefer a different look. Please let the technician know ahead of time so we can provide the best experience for you.
How long does the initial Eyelash Extension application take?
Depending on the lash selection chosen by you and your technician, service times run between 60 and 75 minutes.
How long will my lashes last?
Your new lashes will last between 4 to 5 weeks depending on your skincare routine and your own natural lash life cycle. To maintain a full lash line maintenance refills are recommended every 2-4 weeks.
What is a refill, why is it recommended?
Due to the growth cycle of your hair, you will find your natural eyelashes shed every 60-90 days as new ones grow in. We recommend getting a fill every 2 to 4 weeks to add extensions to those hairs to maintain a full lash line.
How long does a refill appointment take?
Fill service times are typically 60 minutes.
How often do I need an Eyelash Extension fill?
You are eligible for a fill if at least 50% of your extensions are still in place. Most Poshe’ clients find that every 2 to 3 weeks works well for them. Clients with no, or very few lashes left, will be charged for a new full set.
I want to remove my Eyelash Extensions, can I book this service?
Yes, lash extensions can be removed. There is generally a half-hour service time.
How do I take care of my new Eyelash Extensions?
Do not wet your lashes for at least 6 hours right after your appointment
Avoid rubbing your eyes
Wash your lashes daily and gently brush your lashes with a spoolie
Allow your lashes to air dry
Avoid using facial products with oil. Oily products will compromise the adhesive
You can wear waterproof mascara or eyeliner but please be gentle when removing
Schedule refills every 2-4 weeks as needed
Sleep on your back
Do not curl your lashes with an eyelash curler
Do not pluck or pull your lashes
